A seventeen-year-old male has been arrested in connection with a series of knifepoint robberies in Bolton.
It comes after Bolton Police received reports of five robberies taking place in or near Heywood Park in Great Lever.
The majority took place in broad daylight and one at around 10pm last week.
It is understood that the victims were robbed at knifepoint, with the most recent incident resulting in a victim suffering minor injuries.
A spokesperson for GMP said: “Bolton's neighbourhood team increased patrols to Heywood Park and kept an eye out for anything suspicious.
“The investigation led to the 17-year-old being arrested on Monday 15 August 2022.
“The victims had been robbed at knifepoint and the violence appeared to be escalating with the latest victim suffering minor injuries from the knife.”
