A family are appealing for information after their pet goat was stolen in the middle of the night.
Dora, the goat, belonged to Emma Mcleod and her two children, Mollie and Ralphy.
Dora was stolen from the family in the early hours of Tuesday, with the perpetrator been caught on CCTV.
Emma, Mollie and Ralphy were on holiday when the baby goat was taken from them, and its own caprine family in Stoneclough.
Emma’s sister, Amy Mason, was looking after the goats while they were away.
She said: “I’d gone to muck them out this morning – they have three goats – and there was one missing at 9am.
“I checked the CCTV, and at 2am there was footage of someone struggling to take a goat, but they got it.
“You couldn’t really see, they had a hooded jacket on.”
She continued: “I just want to see if anyone’s seen anything suspicious.
“They’re all related, it’s a mum and two babies, one of the babies is gone.
“They were shaken up, they’re very quiet, they’re missing her.
“I was just shocked and then when we checked the cameras – when I told Emma what had happened she was upset.
“it was her children’s goats, they’re just like family pets.”
Amy says she has one thing to say to the person who stole Dora - “Please return them.
“She’s being missed by the family, the other goats are shook up and missing her, the children are missing her.”
A spokesperson from Greater Manchester Police said that no arrests have been made and that the investigation is ongoing.
