Two roads in Bolton will be closed in coming weeks for vital manhole repair work.

Brookfold Lane in Harwood will be closed on August 23 approximately between the hours of 9.30am and 3pm.

All traffic will be prohibited from travelling on Brookfold Lane at its junction with Longsight for a manhole repair.

Butterwick Fields will also be closed for manhole repair work on September 6 between 9.30am and 3pm.

All traffic will be prohibited from proceeding on Butterwick Fields between property numbers 40 and 44 to allow works to take place.

To ensure recycling bins are emptied during the works, council officials are asking residents to present them at the nearest accessible point to ensure that they can be emptied on the usual collection days.

Council officials say they want to apologise for any inconvenience the closure may cause.
