WOOLSTON Rovers will be hoping to carry on their recent good form when they travel to Clock Face Miners in National Conference League Division Two on Saturday, kick off 2.30pm.

Rovers head of rugby Mal Holt said: “We had an excellent win at Beverley last week and will go into this week’s game full of confidence.

"Clock Face will provide us with a very stern test but it is a game that we feel we can get something out of if we play to the best of our ability.

"Each game is like a cup final as we need to keep on winning to make sure we reach the play offs.

"We had a few players missing at Beverley who will be back available this week so that will give Billy Sheen and myself plenty of options. All games between us and Clock are keenly fought and I am sure that this will be no different.”

Rovers ‘A’ entertain Crosfields ‘A’ on Saturday afternoon in NWML Division Three looking to claim a win that will see them leap-frog Soap into third place in the league table. Kick off is 2.30pm at Monk Sports Club, Woolston.

Rovers A coach Liam Lawton said: “We were disappointed that last weekend’s game at Halton Simms Cross was cancelled due to them pulling out of the league and we will be raring to go on Saturday against Crosfields.

"We have lost both league games against them this season so we are determined to claim a win in this one and keep us on track for a top three finish.

"We have a strong, healthy squad available to us so hopefully they can go out onto the field and put in a match-winning performance.”
