Police have seized motorbike that was discovered in Astley Bridge that they say was stolen from Manchester.
Officers from Greater Manchester Police Bolton North neighbourhood team were notified about a bike that had been abandoned near the fishing lodge in Astley Bridge, they say.
Based on the reports the officers managed to locate the bike, and upon further investigation they say the found that the motorbike had previously been stolen in an incident in Manchester.
A spokesperson for GMP Bolton North said: "Whilst on patrol this weekend, neighbourhood officers had been told about an abandoned motorbike at the fishing lodge off Hill View Road, Astley Bridge.
"The bike was an outstanding stolen from Manchester. Bike has now been recovered."
Another bike, this time an off-road bike that was being driven in the Breightmet area, was also seized, police say.
A spokesperson said: "Whilst neighbourhood officers were on patrol on Crossdale Road, Breightmet last week, they have come across an off-road bike being ridden in the area. The bike was seized by officers."
