Kids Planet Little Lever Out of School Club has met the standards required by Ofsted.

The termtime before and afterschool club which is based Mytham Road Primary School looks after students of Mytham Road, St Matthews and St Theresa’s prmary schools in Little Lever.

The club also takes on children from other schools during school holidays.

The grading system for out of school clubs was changed in 2019 from the standard scale of 'inadequate' to 'outstanding', to whether a school as simply 'met' or 'not met' the education watchdog's requirements.

Inspector Alison Tranby said: "After being collected from their classroom, children happily enter the welcoming and relaxed environment of the club.

"Children are eager to tell staff and their friends about their school day.

"After eating a snack, they quickly become absorbed in the wide range of activities, either inside or in the well-equipped outdoor play area."

Inspector Tranby also noted the children's exceptional behaviour and a strong partnership between parents and staff.

A spokesperson for Kids Planet Little Lever Out of School Club said: "We are very proud of all the members of staff who work hard every day, and to our fantastic children and families who are at the heart of everything we do."
