Give us some history about the pub:
A beautiful grade II listed building situated in the centre of Bolton, a former county court, built between 1866 and 1869. The history of the venue flows throughout The Courthouse, giving a subtle nod to the heritage of the building and its past uses. Taken over in 2018 from previous owners, Harvey’s Cafe Bar, the venue underwent a £350,000 refurbishment, creating what now is, The Courthouse Restaurant and Bar. Since then, we have managed to establish ourselves as one of Bolton’s favourite dDine, drink, dance venues and we’re continuing to grow amongst favourites of Bolton locals and beyond!
Is food served? If so what’s on the menu?

Most popular drink served is:
All our handcrafted cocktails, however the most popular one this summer, has to be our very own ‘Ice Ice Baby’

Have you faced any challenges within the industry?
Like most hospitality venues, we experienced some huge challenges throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, our busy restaurant and bar suddenly became empty and the doors were shut for months on end. It was a really uncertain and worrying time for us, however with every storm comes a rainbow, as it was actually during the pandemic where we launched our food takeout and delivery service - and this is still going now!
