Rucksacks and a sleeping back was removed from a field this morning by police, who also cleaned up the greenpace.
Farnworth neighbourhood officers were called to fields behind Howard Avenue, Kearsly after the belongings were found and whilst their the police cleaned up the litter strewn field.
And now they are urging people to play their part in the keeping the area they live in tidy.
Officers urged the person who the items belong to, to get in touch.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police Bolton South said: "Farnworth neighbourhood officers have attended this morning a report of a found sleeping bag and rucksacks as well as concerns for the amount of litter left in fields at the rear of Howard Avenue, Kearsley.
"On arrival, no one was on the field so the property was taken and will be booked into property at the police station.
"A quick litter pick and clean up was done by patrols.
"Just a reminder, if you are using fields in this manner, litter and property is taken away with you so the fields can be enjoyed by everyone without the risk of hazards such as broken glass.
"If you believe this property left is yours then please contact PC Kelly on 16533@gmp.police.uk within 31 days quoting 852-30/08/2022 so we can return it to you."
