Carrs Pasties will always be a hit with Boltonians.

And Bolton-born radio presenter Sara Cox was made up when she was gifted the delicious bakes for herself and her family - and meant she got to skip making dinner.

She shared her love for the pasties on Twitter, complete with a heart emoji.

The radio presenter has long loved the delicious pasties usually seen as one of the best pasty makers in Bolton, and even had them for her wedding.

She wrote: “Thanks @CarrsPasties for THE GREATEST GIFT I’VE EVER BEEN SENT.

“From collecting them from your shop in Bolton with my mum to serve at her pub to dishing them up at my wedding reception, I’ve always loved your pasties.

“Now my kids do. Also, thanks cos I didn’t have to cook tonight.”

Sara shared pictures of the pasties as well as a screenshot of a text to her family asking them what pasty they wanted to eat.

Carrs Pasties even took time to reply to the radio DJ.

In a tweet, the pasty makers said: “You’re so welcome. We hope you and the family enjoyed your pasties.”

Back in 2013, Sara again proclaimed her love for Carrs Pasties when she ordered their pasties for her wedding reception as a late-night snack for her guests.

Another famous radio DJ, Nick Grimshaw apparently had three at the reception.

Carrs Pasties also cater for weddings - turning up with their own van at a couples wedding just last year in St Helens.

Victoria and Kyle Moulsdale hired a catering truck from the firm for their big day, feeding over 100 people and making if the first official wedding they attended with the food van, but of course Sara would have done the same if she could at the time of her won wedding.

Carrs Pasties want to take their brand beyond Bolton and go nationalwide with their pasties and the pasty giants are already patrons of the Bolton Lads & Girls Club.

For the Bolton Food and Drink Festival 2022, Carrs Pasties launched the Rock-It pasty, with beef, rosquito peppers, scotch bonnet chillies and gravy.

The new addition has become such a hit, people have been messaging the Facebook page ever since asking if they will continue to stock them.
