Shopping with a drink can be enjoyed at a special event.

'Shop whilst you sip' is being sttaged by Saving Threads in a charity fundraiser for Fortalice, which helps those at risk of domestic violence,

Saving Threads recycle and sell pre-loved clothing, to reduce waste and donate profits to charity.

Rachel Craven and Leander Moore are both fulltime working mums, they decided to start the company in 2020 during lockdown to keep themselves occupied, turning their hobby into a helping hand for charities.

Since then the company has grown, and they have raised more than £16,000 for Bolton based charities in the last 18 months.

At the event items will be £1 each, a range of women’s and men’s clothing and shoes plus accessories.

The event is being held on Saturday October 15 at Dunscar Conservative Club starting from 7pm, including music, tombola’s and a raffle.

Rachel from Saving Threads said: "We are so excited to host our first charity night with funds raised going towards Fortalice, such a worthy cause.

"We love that we can support local charities, please come along and join the fun, hope to see you there!”
