FIREFIGHTERS attended a blaze involving a large quantity of rubbish.
The fire at the rear of South Street, Great Lever, was reported at 8.30pm on Saturday.
The blaze spread to nearby back gardens but was preventing from reaching any properties.
The rubbish was destroyed and there was damage to some fencing.
