TOM WINTERBOTTOM gives his view of Wanderers' thrilling victory at Middlesbrough...

THE feel-good factor is back in Bolton.

Two wins on the bounce, two goals scored and two things shown by the players and fans we've missed for a while - confidence and passion.

Having beaten West Ham, we dared to believe that survival is a possibility and the other results over the weekend have given us a great chance.

The fans and the club worked together perfectly with the free coach travel, which saw 2,000 supporters giving the team the backing they needed.

We must have free coach travel for the last two away games as the support provided certainly helped the players enormously on the pitch.

Having not won at Middlesborough for 12 years, we did have the sinking feeling in the early moments as Boro piled on the pressure.

But, I actually felt more comfortable with Ali Al-Habsi in net, rather than Jussi Jaaskelainen, who is vulnerable to high balls and prone to the odd blunder.

Let's tie the lad down to a long-term contract immediately, he has shown us he is a ready made replacement for Jaaskelainen.

We worried that missing Kevin Davies would be crucial, however Grzegorz Rasiask stepped up to the plate and was a constant threat to the Boro defence.

It was good to see the passion in the players again, as was shown in our goal celebration and after the final whistle. In Gary Cahill we have a player who I believe could be a future team captain.

Gary Megson is right, we still needs points in our last three games but safety is once again in our hands. Fighting a relegation battle makes us appreciate the last few seasons when we've enjoyed top half security.

If we pull together as a football club we can look forward to life in the Premiership once again next season.
