Having enjoyed great success with Dire Straits and Roxy Music - as well as working on soundtracks such as Cal' and Wag The Dog', Guy Fletcher - who has also composed the music for At Home With The Braithwaites' and Robbie the Reindeer', has released this superb album.
Chock full of beautiful and thoughtful songs, this is a delight to listen to - especially late at night. From the opening Love is Coming Round', through Different World', Cold Water' and the emotive - though instrumental The Logistics of Intimacy', Guy has produced an album which makes the listener feel warm and happy. It's a friendly sort of album, written and performed mainly by Guy with a little help from his friends, including Mark Knopfler himself on a number of tracks.
The Dire Straits influence is there if you'd care to look - er, listen for it, but this is a separate entity and is worthy of acclaim.
