WORKS by celebrated Bolton artist Roger Hampson, who unusually used a mangle to create his art, go up for auction in Manchester this evening.
Roger Hampson, who died in 1996, is regarded as one of the country's foremost industrial artists.
Among his art for sale at Urbis are a lino cut of miners and an oil painting of Atlas Mills in Bolton.
Auctioneers Capes Dunn expect the paintings to fetch between £600 and £1,600.
