Two people have been injured - one seriously - following a collision between a pedestrian and a car in Bolton town centre.
A man and an elderly woman were taken to hospital following the incident shortly before 2.25pm.
Police were called to Knowsley Street and discovered a man believed to be 20, with serious injuries.
The female driver of the car, who is in her 80s and who was driving a Suzuki Grand Vitara, has also been taken to hospital for treatment to leg injuries.
Knowsley Street has been shut between its junction with Howell Croft and St George's Road.
Witnesses to the collision are asked to call the Road Policing Unit on 0161 856 7202.
