POLICE are appealing for information after cars were targeted in a spate of smash-and-grab thefts.
Thieves stole a satellite navigation system after breaking into an Audi A4 when it was parked at Bolton College in Manchester Road, between 4pm and 4.45pm on Thursday.
Another sat-nav system was stolen from a Rover 400 car which was parked in Bridge Street, Bolton, at around 1.45pm on Friday.
On the same day, between 7pm and 7.30pm, thieves broke into a Mercedes CLK in Silverwell Lane, Bolton, and stole a suitcase containing clothes.
Then between 4pm and 5.45pm on Saturday thieves smashed into a Ford Focus parked in Churchgate, Bolton, and stole a large amount of camera equipment.
Police have warned motorists not to leave valuables on display in their cars.
