ALL things dance will be celebrated on Saturday night during a show at Bolton Arena.

The event is being organised by the newly established Bolton Dance and Movement Forum.

Groups from local primary and secondary schools, community and youth groups and local dance schools will perform.

It will mark the culmination of a week-long dance festival. Various classes have been held across the town, including folk, jazz, contemporary and street dance for adults.

Special classes have also been held for youngsters, including hip-hop, street dance and breakdance.

Classes being held tomorrow include an adult folk class at Slaterfield Community Centre, Great Lever, at 11am, a street dance class for youngsters aged 12 to 16 at Horwich Leisure Centre at 4.30pm, and a contemporary dance class for adults, at the Excel Leisure Centre in Bolton, at 7pm.

Eve Murphy, vice-chairman of the forum, said the organisation was aiming to raise the profile of dance and increase people's participation in the activity across Bolton.

Tickets for Saturday's show, from 7pm to 10pm, are £3 for adults and £1 for concessions, and are available on the door.
