Drugs raids were carried out a two houses over the weekend with cannabis farms discovered.

Acting on intelligence from the community, officers executed a drugs warrant at a house on Beaumont Chase on Sunday morning.

The neighbourhood team said 'large amounts' of cannabis and cannabis plants were found.

One arrest was made.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said; “The Rumworth Neighbourhood Team completed a Drugs Warrant this morning on Beaumont Chase following reports of a potential cannabis farm.

“This resulted in a large amount of cannabis and cannabis plants being seized from the property and one male arrested.

The raid comes just two days after more than 100 cannabis plants were found inside a property in Campbell Street, Farnworth.

The Farnworth Neighbourhood Policing Teamseized 132 cannabis plants.

The team, who entered the property on Friday, September 30, used a misuse of drugs warrant to discover the cannabis farm with plants at various stages of growth.

All 132 plants have now been removed and destroyed.

Enquiries are ongoing to find those responsible.

A Greater  Manchester Police spokesperson for Bolton South said: “Farnworth Neighbourhood Policing Team executed a Section 23 misuse of drugs warrant at a property on Campbell Street, Farnworth on Friday 30th September 22.

“Officers discovered 132 Cannabis plants at various stages of growth inside the premises, which have since been removed and destroyed.

“Enquiries are ongoing to find those responsible."
