Real ale lovers will be toasting the return of the popular Bolton Beer Festival this month.

The huge event is now in its 28th year to raise money Bolton Lads and Girls club.

Running from Thursday, October 13 to Saturday, October 15, the festival will once again be hosted at the University of Bolton Stadium.

With drinks from the UK and around the world on offer, the festival will boast more than 200 real ales, lagers, ciders, Gin, Wine and Prosecco on the menu, leaving guest spoilt for choice.

Due to the popularity of the event which in previous years has attracted more than 8,000 visitors each year, organisers are advising those wishing to sponsor the event, or to attend to book their tickets early.

There will be live music and performances and organisers say are confident there will be a 'great sense of fun to be had by all those attending'.

Kelly McFadden, head of fundraising and communications at Bolton Lads & Girls Club, said “The Beer Festival has become a staple event in so many people’s calendars.

"In 2021 the Beer Festival raised a record breaking £70,000 for the club, which we were absolutely over the moon with.

"It is the biggest social event in the Bolton calendar, and we are delighted that we can return this year, and we look forward to welcoming everyone safely to the festival.”

Laura Pendlebury, events and fundraising manager added: “The services of our charity are needed now more than ever, all the money raised will go back into the core services at the club. As always, we are so grateful to everyone for the continual support we receive every year.”
