The service is recruiting for Resilience Fire Crew drivers to provide cover during periods of high demand or staff absence.
The roles are needed in “various locations around Greater Manchester”, with the drivers also being there to cover any potential industrial action.
The role will be on a 12-month fixed term contract, with a three-week training course included as part of it.
Drivers will be required to be medically and physically fit, and the National Firefighter Selection Test (NFST) will be an integral part of the selection process.
