A sexual predator from Bury has been jailed for life for the rape of two teenage girls.

Faizan Dogar, described as a “fantasist with an unhealthy interest in the abuse of woman and young girls", contacted his first victim on social media and they agreed to meet in August last year.

When she told him she needed to go home he ignored her wishes, put her in a headlock and began to fondle her.

He then threatened to choke her until she was unconscious if she did not do what he said and went on to rape her.

He was identified on CCTV and police visited his home.

When officers seized a mobile phone belonging to him they found indecent images on his phone.

In May this year Dogar, aged 19, approached his second victim using social media again.

After they discussed gaming they agreed to meet up.

When they did so Dogar raped her.

He was traced using a mobile phone number used to contact the victim and police arrested him.

Dogar, of Bolton Road, Bury, was charged with 12 offences

At Manchester Crown Court he pleaded guilty to five counts of rape, two counts of sexual communication with a child, three counts of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and two counts of possession of indecent images.

Detective Constable Nathan Lilley, of Bury CID, said it was a “relief” that he was behind bars.

He said: “Dogar is a calculating sexual predator who has subjected two young girls to horrific attacks.

“He is a fantasist with an unhealthy interest in the abuse of woman and young girls.

“Both victims continue to be supported by specialist GMP officers and showed extreme bravery in providing evidence against Dogar.

“He is a dangerous individual and it’s a relief that he is off the streets and behind bars.”
