A 20-year-old female was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries following a crash on Mancunian Way.
Officers were called at around 1:25am this morning (Saturday 8 October 2022) to reports of a crash involving a female pedestrian on Mancunian Way.
Emergency services attended the scene, and GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is now appealing for further information regarding the crash.
A GMP spokesperson said: “Our initial enquiries suggest that the woman was walking towards the eastbound carriage way of the A57 (Mancunian Way), crossed the eastbound carriage way safely and waited in the central reservation of the carriage way.
“Upon attempting to cross the westbound carriageway, she was then struck.”
Anyone who witnessed this incident, has dash cam footage from that area during that time period, or any information that could assist enquiries, is asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 0161 856 4741 quoting Log 222 of 08/10/2022.
