A car hit two other cars on a busy road in Bolton leaving damage to both cars.

On Thursday, October 6, a black car collided with another car going up Wyresdale Road adjacent to Beverley Road.

The parked cars were damaged due to the incident as the owners were left in shock.

A spokesman from Greater Manchester Police said: “At around 10:30pm on Thursday 6 October 2022, officers were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Wyresdale Road in Bolton.

“Enquiries suggest that the vehicle involve collided into a stationary vehicle.

“Emergency services attended the scene, and no injuries were reported.”

Residents recalled hearing a loud bang late at night but when people got out of their houses, they saw a black car abandoned on the road.

One nearby neighbour: “I was just coming back from work when I saw the cars out here.

“They’re damaged but not as much as the car that caused it. People said they saw someone leave with others in the car too.

“I’m not sure what exactly happened but this road is infamous for people speeding up and down it.

“It’s a real problem here, we see it all the time too.”

As people left their homes to see what caused the commotion, one resident was shocked to see what had happened.

She said: “I have just moved here so I am no aware if this is a common happening.

“I was asleep when it happened, but the noise woke me up and I went outside to see what had happened.

“A fire engine had arrived as well and were making sure it was safe.”
