Age UK Bolton is on the lookout for volunteer befrienders to support older people feeling isolated.
The charity is in need of a volunteer to spend no more than a few hours per week visiting an older person in their own home for a brew and a chat.
Anyone who is honest, reliable, friendly, warm, and caring, who can make a long-term commitment, would be a good fit for the role.
Becoming a befriender has positively impacted the lives of older people in the past, helping them feel less isolated, and more connected with their local community.
People are usually matched based on interests and location.
Volunteers are also supported throughout their time.
For more information or to become a befriender, contact Tara on 07377 709 499 or email volunteering@ageukbolton.org.uk.
