Coffee chain Starbucks is back in the town centre.

It officially opens a new coffee shop at Bolton Shopping Park on Trinty Street  on Saturday.

The new branch opens after Sainsburys and Starbucks teamed up across the country.

Café manager Shashi Mahatma is excited to bring the American chain to Bolton once again.

A soft launch on Monday saw the café open to customers already but the Mayor of Bolton, Cllr Zaman Akhtar will cut the ribbon for the official opening at the weekend as well as an appearance of Deputy Lieutenant Saeed Atcha.

Shashi said: “We’re all excited and did a soft launch on Monday already with our official one this weekend with the Mayor of Bolton attending.

“The staff are looking forward to welcoming and serving customers to our lovely new café.

“The furniture is nice and comfortable and loads of customers in the last few days have said they love it.

“It’s the first time Starbucks has had this salmon pink as a colour for the interior but it suits it.”

The Bolton News:

The new Starbucks will create 15 new jobs.

Shashi was also the man behind the Manchester Road Starbucks four and a half years ago.

He said: “I think it’s good to open in an area to create jobs for people and in  a place like Bolton where a new coffee shop is needed.

“People say they have wanted one here for some time and also, there is a Costa and Café Nero in Bolton Town, so the competition is missing if there is no Starbucks.

“People who go to Starbucks will always go to Starbucks.”

The Bolton News:

Starbucks and Sainsburys will continue to work together in a new partnership which is seeing more of the Starbucks cafes opening up either inside the supermarket stores or next to petrol stations.

Shashi added: “We also have lots of sofa seating which people tend to love so we are excited to bring that to Bolton.

“And we are also dog friendly, so we’re looking forward to meeting all your dogs.”
