It has been open less than a year and already it is proving a huge hit.
So much so Italian restaurant, Nabucco Bar & Restaurant has been recognised wiht a Traveller's Choice's Award after rave reviews placed it amongst the top 10 per cent of traveller favourites on Tripadvisor.
Nabucco Bar & Restaurant, on Market Street is based in the old Westhoughton NatWest bank building has been recognised with a 2022 Traveller's Choice Award.
The restaurant only opened in January of this year.
The restaurant shared its delight at the award.
In a statement the owner said: “Wow, thank you to our amazing team, we have won the Traveller’s Choice Award from Trip Advisor.
“We are over the moon.
“Thank you to all our customers for your consistent support.”
Prior to opening Italian designer chef and part owner Joani Sera spent hours coming up with menu choices, inspired from his Italian childhood.
Joani has over 30 years with successful eateries in Italy, the USA, Canada and two others in Staffordshire and Glossop.
He also opened Nabucco’s in Italy, which trades under the name due to its success.
The downstairs of the restaurant is a family dining room split into two, with a visible kitchen as people walk upstairs, and a bar upstairs with more seating.
Winning this particular trip advisor award is determined based on the quality and quantity of traveller reviews and ratings given on Tripadvisor over a 12-month period.
It currently has a 4-star rating, with one visitor writing “exceeded expectations”.
They added: “Much larger inside than I expected and great décor and atmosphere.
“Had starters of Carpaccio and a spicy sausage dish, both were delicious, and mains of sea bass and a veal dish.
“Again, both dishes were well presented and tasty, and all washed down with a nice bottle of Sauvignon.
“I should also mention the main waitress we had was lovely and so professional without being overbearing.
“We eat out at least twice a week, and it was our first visit here and we will be sure to be visiting again soon.”
