Police are appealing for further information about a sexual assault and serious assault that happened in Manchester City Centre.

The incidents occurred inside The Freemount Bar on Oldham Street in Manchester City Centre's Northern Quarter between 11pm and 11.30pm on Sunday, August 29, 2022.

Two men approached a group of women on a night out in the area and attempted to talk to them.

One of the men is then suspected to have sexually assaulted a 23-year-old woman in the group, then two men continued to talk to the group.

One of the women began to question the men and stated they were not interested, and the two men then began walk away from the group.

As the two men walk away, one of the females from the group pretended to pour drink over the head of one of the men, at which point he turned around and punched a 22-year-old woman, causing serious injuries.

The report was made to Greater Manchester Police (GMP) the following day and an investigation is ongoing.

GMP would like to speak to the man in the photograph in connection to the incident and are appealing to the public for any information.
