“The driver thought it was the right thing to do driving it outside, but it caught fire outside.

“The driver wasn’t injured, and he got out of his truck very quickly.

“But it was parked next to pallets full of carpet.

“The carpets had become welded together and the fire was amongst it all.

“We then had to use their forklift drivers to push the bails from one side to another to break it up.

“Everybody was evacuated in good time.

“Firefighters were there for about three and a half hours.

“There was one pump from Ramsbottom and one from Bury.

“It was hard work as opposed to dangerous.”

The fire has now been safely put out.
