Police have recovered a stolen piece of plant machinery in Bolton and returned it to its owner.
The Farnworth Neighbourhood Team received reports that the item was left in Astley Bridge.
They later discovered it had been taken from Adlington, Lancashire, earlier in the day.
Police are still working to find the culprits of the theft.
A police spokesperson said: "The property has been returned to the rightful owner and enquiries will continue to trace those responsible in conjunction with our colleagues from Lancashire Police."
