Hopefully this photo showing a view along Newport Street, Bolton, towards Victoria Square from 1984 will bring back a few memories.
Do you remember when there were the large concrete planters and seats with the charity pavilion in the background? Also look at the shops - many familiar names which have long gone.
It's interesting to note that almost 40 years ago, there were still shops to let in the town centre.
