In an article published on November 11, we reported that Nimrah Riaz, a nurse who worked at the Royal Bolton Hospital has been struck off for misconduct by the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
We have been asked to point out that the order for striking off will not take effect until the 28-day period for appeal expires and in the meantime Ms Riaz is suspended from practice.
If an appeal is made, the striking off order will take effect only after another 18 months until determination of the appeal, but the suspension will continue during that period.
