Delays are expected on the M6 from J26 after a lorry overturned.

There is currently no access from the M6 south onto the M58 West after a lorry overturned on Junction 26 Orrell on the roundabout.

Recovery work is still underway near the area and drivers are advised to take alternative routes and plan journeys ahead of time to avoid any delays.

National Highways North West revealed on social media: “Complex recovery work is ongoing on the #M6 J26 roundabout where a lorry has overturned.

“There's no access from #M6 south onto the #M58 west. If you're heading for #Liverpool either continue south to J23 & use the #A580 west or to J21A and use the #M62 west.”

Around 11am, Highways North West first alerted the public to the delays on the M6 heading towards Liverpool and Lancashire.
