Bolton wedding and events venue The Wellbeing Farm has been named in the prestigious ‘Small Business 100’ for 2022.

The Small Business 100 scheme, also know as Small Biz 100, is to highlight and support 100 small businesses across the UK, leading up to Small Business Saturday on December 3, 2022.

The campaign is aimed at promoting businesses successes and encourages customers to shop local.

Celia Gaze, founder and managing director of The Wellbeing Farm, on Plantation Road, Edgworth, said: “Being included in this year’s Small Biz 100 is the cherry on top of a fantastic year for The Wellbeing Farm.”

This comes after earlier in the year the venue was awarded B Corp status, one of the highest credentials a business can get based on its commitment to protecting the environment and supporting the community.

“Being a beacon for this area has always been the farm’s ethos,” Celia said.

“Becoming a B Corp this year is an absolute honour, and now having the Small Biz 100 team’s support is unbelievable. So, to celebrate, we will be going back to our roots, before we specialised in weddings - we are bringing back our Ethical Christmas Fair.”

The fair will coincide with Small Business Saturday this weekend, December 3, between 10.30am and 4.30pm.

Celia added: “We want to support local business in the way Small Biz 100 does. We will have a variety of local and artisan craft sellers - from local food producers to gifts and handmade creations.

“Our hope is that you can get all your Christmas shopping done in just one day.”

On offer at the fair will be artisan stalls, music from local band ‘Hit the Dancefloor’, and a winter food and drinks menu including hot beef barms and mulled wine.

For children, there will be a chance to make some of Rudolph’s favourite reindeer food, as well as a special appearance or two from The Wellbeing Farm’s main attraction - their llamas.

Celia said: “I had a special someone ask me if he can get a selfie with one of the llamas – of course I said yes.”
