Police in Bolton have arrested one man and seized a vehicle which was believed to be stolen in separate incidents last night.
The Great Lever Neighbourhood team stopped and searched a number of individuals in the Heywood Gardens area.
While doing this they found one man who had an offensive weapon on him as well as a number of drugs.
A police spokesperson said what happened to the man in question.
They said: "He was arrested for possession with intent to supply and taken to custody."
Elsewhere in Great Lever police came across a vehicle on John Cross Street which drew the suspicions of a police community support officer.
They carried out a check which quikcly revealed that the number plates did not match the chassis number.
The vehicle, believed to be stolen, was recovered by officers.
Officers released an image of the car being taken away on John Cross Street.
