A man has denied committing several sexual assaults in Bolton around a decade ago.
Asif Vali, 53, was brought before Bolton Crown Court this week where he pleaded not guilty to exposure, sexual assault and assault by penetration.
He will now be brought back next year for trial.
Judge Tom Gilbart said: “You have pleaded not guilty to these matters and your case will now be listed for trial.
“It is likely there will be a pre-trial review and you will also be required to attend on those days.”
Vali, of Hill Cot Road, pleaded not guilty to two counts of exposure, both of which are alleged to have taken place between July 1 2012 and 20 February 2013.
He also pleaded not guilty to two counts of sexual assault on a woman, both of which are alleged to have occurred between the same dates.
Finally, Vali pleaded not guilty to a single count of assault by penetration between February 1 2013 and February 28 2013.
With Vali’s pleas having been entered Judge Gilbart set a date for a trial to take place next Summer, when the court will hear evidence from both the defence and prosecution.
The trial has now been set for August 7 2023.
