Smithills Hall is inviting ghost fans to take a tour of the hall at night in the new year.
The historic home has a long history of paranormal activity and apparently overnight ghost hunts have delivered some terrifying experiences.
With a multitude of dark rooms and hallways to investigate, a ghost hunt at Smithills Hall is a daunting prospect and only for the very brave.
Apparitions believed to be priests have been seen cowering in a small room upstairs and a whole group of people watched as a chair moved by itself during a vigil.
A spokesman said: “This frightening ghost hunt with Haunted Happenings is sure to be a night you will not forget.
“Join us at Smithills Hall and be part of this unique and terrifying experience.”
The ghost hunt will take place on January 21 and to get involved visit https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/smithills-hall-ghost-hunt-in-bolton-with-haunted-happenings-tickets-395221226327

All those attending will be given a tour of the grounds and will also form a vigil.
Smithills is considered one of the most spookiest places in Lancashire.
