Several roads will be closed at the start of next year as manhole repair works take place.
Blackshaw Lane will be closed for approximately one day on January 9.
The road closure will be in place between the hours of 9.30am and 3pm approximately with all traffic prohibited from proceeding on Blackshaw Lane, from Deane Road to Dawley Close, to allow manhole repairs to take place.
Bury Road and Garstang Avenue will also be closed for manhole repairs on January 15.
The road closures will be in place between the hours of 9.30am and 3pm with all traffic prohibited from proceeding on Garstang Avenue from Bury Road to Back Bury Road South and there will be one-way traffic on Bury Road from Milnthorpe Road to Garstang Avenue (eastbound only), to allow manhole repairs to take place.
Alternate routes for westbound traffic will be Radcliffe Moor Road, Countess Lane, Stopes Road, High Street, Market Street, Church Street, Hall Lane, Loxham Street, Manchester Road, Bridgeman Place and Bradford Street.
To ensure recycling bins are emptied during the works, council officials are asking residents to present them at the nearest accessible point to ensure that they can be emptied on the usual collection days.
The council apologises for any inconvenience the closure may cause.
