Bolton’s NHS trust is looking for experienced and former midwives to help the next generation make their start in the profession.

This comes with Bolton NHS Foundation Trust hoping to find people experienced enough to provide a guiding hand to student midwives by recruiting experienced professionals back into the service.

The roles can be full or part time, depending on what works best for the applicant.

A statement said: “Do you remember your first? The one who helped you understand how important it all is?

“Who taught you what was important? That special someone who changed your life for good?

“Who held your hand as you started out as a midwife?

“Now it’s your turn.

“We’re looking for experienced and ex-midwives to help be that knowledgeable and supportive ear for our student midwives as they begin their journey.”

It added: “Our student midwives have the enthusiasm, dedication and desire to help mums during all stages of pregnancy, labour and the early postnatal period.

“But they need you.
