A major trail run will soon return to Bolton to help raise funds for one the borough’s most important causes.

Smithy’s Five Mile Trail Run will be taking place in February in aid of Bolton Hospice.

The run takes place regularly to raise funds to make sure the hospice is able to continue doing its vital work.

The event will begin at Egerton Cricket Club.

A statement from Bolton Hospice said: “Welcome to Smithy's 5 Mile Trail Run 2023! It's back! Join us on a five mile trail run to help raise funds for Bolton Hospice.

“You can enter as a single runner or register as a group.

“There will be coffee before and after the race as well as cakes at the finish made by Rainy's.”

It added: “The run takes place on Saturday, February 18 at 11am.

“Please collect your race number and chip at registration from 8.30am on the day

“Participants are asked to please be on the start line for 10.55am for a race briefing.

“The event is open to walkers and children accompanied by an adult.”
