Theatres lovers in Bolton will be able to take their babies to a special festive performance next week.
This comes with the Octagon Theatre in the town centre preparing a baby friendly performance of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.
The performance will allow parents and young children to enjoy the play without worrying about disturbing others by relaxing the usual rules and expectations around movement in the theatre while the shows are taking place.
A statement from the Octagon said: “Baby friendly performances allow parents and carers of small children a chance to attend the theatre when otherwise it might be a challenge with a relaxed attitude to movement and noise in the auditorium
“Join us on Thursday, January 5 for our baby friendly performance of A Christmas Carol.
“Tickets from £15, children under 18 months free.”

Baby changing facilities will be available along with bottle warmers and baby food available to buy, along with space for buggy parking and places to store pushchairs.
The Octagon’s performance of a Christmas Carol has already been highly acclaimed with actors, crew and theatre managers alike all hoping that the baby friendly show will make it accessible to the very youngest of audiences and their parents.
