Paddy McGuinness has posted a video begging people to take down their Christmas decorations.

The Bolton comedian sat in his car as he jokingly took a swipe at people who had yet to take down their trees and lights from the festive period.

Paddy’s video has over 1,000 likes with some people defending their decorations saying they were following the 12 days of Christmas.

He said on the video: “People who put the Christmas trees and decorations up in November, I admire their candour.

“I’m all for it, they’re looking forward to Christmas and they’re getting in there early, enjoying themselves, so more power to them.

“But, I’ve been driving around today and people who leave their Christmas decorations up after Christmas – wrong’uns.”

Paddy looked to the camera and shouted “Get em down”, while looking disgusted that people still has decorations up past the new year.

He continued: “If I go out for a meal, say I have an Indian with my mates, I’m ordering the lot.

“Get everything on the table, poppadoms? Yeah, put them on there.

“That lime and pickle that no-one eats? Yeah, I’ll have some of that as well, lovely, but as soon as my meal’s finished, get it off the table.

“Get it cleared, I don’t want to look at it, I’m disgusted with myself.

“That’s the same with Christmas. It’s January, we’re at the end of the first week – get them down.”

Others laughed that it was bad luck to put them down before January 6 while some agreed with Paddy, that no Christmas decorations should be up after December ends.

Paddy had viewers in stitches yesterday too, when he posted a filtered video of himself jokingly telling people not to believe rumours he had done any plastic surgery.

This prompted many people to tell him he resembled David Beckham and Gary Barlow.

Paddy is currently hosting I Can See Your Voice on BBC One.
