A MAN accused of hit-and-run has denied being involved in a smash which left a three-year-old boy with a fractured skull.

The toddler was seriously injured when a hit-and-run driver ploughed into his father's car, which was parked outside the Lozen Hair Salon in Goldsmith Street, Daubhill, on October 23 last year.

The boy injured in the accident, understood to be from Great Lever, has now made a full recovery, but has been left with a scar across the top of his forehead where surgeons had to operate on his fractured skull.

Shaid Aslam, aged 24, of Queensgate, Bolton, appeared before Bolton magistrates charged with failing to stop after an accident, failing to report an accident, driving without due care and attention and driving without insurance.

He pleaded not guilty to all charges and is due to appear before magistrates again on Thursday, June 12.
