A road in Heaton will be closed at the start of next month whilst vital works take place.
The back of Brigade Street will be closed from February 7 for approximately three days whilst works are ongoing.
The road closure will prohibit all traffic from proceeding on the back of Brigade Street, from Curzon St to Bertrand Rd, to allow water works to take place.

To ensure recycling bins are emptied during the works, council officials are asking residents to present them at the nearest accessible point to ensure that they can be emptied on the usual collection days.
Council officials say they want to apologise for any inconvenience the closure may cause.
