A cannabis farm has been dismantled after being found at a mill in Radcliffe.

Police confiscated and destroyed plants grown in a unit at Pioneer Mill on Milltown Street this week.

Officers say that the electricity supply at the site had been bypassed and that the unit has now been made safe.

No arrests have been reported.

A Greater Manchester Police (GMP) Bury South spokesperson said: “Officers from the Radcliffe Neighbourhood Team continue to prevent crime and build public confidence.

“This week they dismantled a cannabis farm in a unit at Pioneer Mill, Milltown Street, Radcliffe where the electricity supply had been bypassed.

“The unit was made safe and the cannabis destroyed.”

In May last year, another cannabis farm worth around half a million pounds was seized from Pioneer Mill as part of Operation Avro, GMP's ongoing crime crackdown.
