Rotary Club members have presented car dealership KIA with a thank you certificate after the company supplied them with a car to tow Santa’s Sleigh over the festive period.
President Peter James-Robinson of the Rotary Club of Horwich visited KIA Cars, Middlebrook, Horwich, to present members of staff with the certificate.
The sleigh tour was a huge success across the area as hundreds of children met Father Christmas at the same time as the Rotary team battling the severe weather conditions, managing to raise over £8,500.
Mr James-Robinson said: “KIA Bolton have been providing Horwich Rotary with an ideal vehicle to pull Santa’s Sleigh for many years now.
“Without very generous gestures like this, we couldn’t do what we do in our local community.
“When I went to their showroom, they were so fabulously welcoming."

Charity to take on daring challenge to raise money for UK and worldwide schemes
Despite having to cancel five evening routes due to the ice and snow, with three of the nights rearranged, the Rotary managed to raise a great amount of money which will be combined with funds from the Beer Festival, enabling them to fund their two main awards schemes, Young Achievement Awards and "Dragon’s Den”.
The Rotary of Horwich are asking people if they are interested in volunteering for next year’s sleigh.
