Channel 4 is looking for people who are from Manchester and have been left high and dry by builders for its new show Brickin’ It, presented by Stacey Solomon.

The new series will give viewers easy and helpful tips on how to makeover their homes themselves.

The TV presenter will step in, showing homeowners how simple, satisfying and cost-effective it can be to pick up a power tool and do the work themselves.

Tasks include anything from bricklaying to basic plumbing and the show will see Solomon get her hands dirty as she helps homeowners transform their homes.

Viewers will see both big builds and smaller passion projects completed with Stacey Solomon sharing her money-saving skills and offering design inspiration.

She’ll also challenge herself to master new DIY techniques.

Stacey Solomon said: “From an early age, my dad taught me DIY and the importance of fixing things yourself where you can. I still find it so satisfying to build or repair around the house and it saves loads of money.

“I am beyond excited to work with Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine on their first ever UK project. They are all about empowering women and what could be more empowering than a power tool?! It’s a dream come true to share my DIY hacks with everyone at home.”

To find out more about the show, Channel 4 asks that you email build@producing-sunshine.com.

Within the email, you’ll need to include the following: your name, the area you live in (region, town or city), pictures of yourself and your build, a few lines about your project and some pictures (what are you trying to do, where the problems are and how much of your budget you have left) and a contact number for yourself.
