A motorcyclist was taken to hospital after a rush hour crash this morning.
The crash involved a car and a bike on Darwen Road, near a Bromley Cross nursery school.
Emergency services were called to the incident outside of Eagley School Nursery and traffic was reduced to one lane.
The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Both bike and car sustained damage and police remained at the scene to direct traffic.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “We were called at 7.45am this morning to Darwen Road, Bromley Cross, after reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a motorcycle
“Officers and the North West Ambulance Services attended due to initial concerns and the motorcyclist was taken for treatment.
“The motorcyclist received serious but not life-threatening or life-changing injuries.”
The North West Ambulance Services have confirmed that "a man was taken to hospital with an arm injury", in relation to the incident.
