Police officers out on patrol enforcing speed limits in Bolton today have stopped the same car twice for speeding.

Officers who were out on patrol stopped a car which was speeding twice on the same day and on the same road.

In a tweet, a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "Patrols out and about enforcing the speed limits around GMP.

"You know your having a bad day when you get caught speeding twice in the same day on the same road.

"It's 30 MPH for a reason."

Officers have urged anyone with any information or concerns about anti-social driving in their communities to call 101 or 999 in the event of an emergency.

Alternatively, witnesses can call independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously by calling 0800 555 111.
