People interested in running a café in the heart of one of Bolton’s most historic institutions have been invited to see the site for themselves.

The day will be held at Bolton Central Library and will aim to provide information to anyone interested in running a café once refurbishment work is finished.

The opportunity to run the business has been put out to tender by Bolton Council.

A statement from Bolton Library and Museum Services said: “Would your business be interested in finding out more about running a new café in the refurbished Bolton Central Library?

“If so, you’re invited to come along to an event on Friday March 10, 10am to 12pm, where we can tell you more about this exciting opportunity.

“Interested businesses would lease the new café facility and offer a warm welcoming service to visitors to the library, museum and aquarium, as well as the wider community.

“The Grade II listed library and museum building is located in the heart of Bolton town centre and is currently undergoing a £4.2 million pound refurbishment as part of the Towns Fund.

“The library, museum and aquarium attracts over half a million people every year.”

Library services have been moved to Crompton Way shopping centre while refurbishment work is under way.
