Pantomime performers at a club have helped to raise thousands of pounds to help test for prostate cancer.

The money was raised at the D'Havilland Club on Gladstone Road, Farnworth, with a charity Cinderella pantomime succeeding in raising a total of around £3,500.

Members of the community including Cllr Nadeem Ayub, who represents the area on the council, attended to give their support.

Cllr Ayub said: “I want to extend my gratitude for Clubland Ltd, D'Havilland Club, who raised £3,500 and presented a cheque to Prostate Cancer Support.
